Sanober Institute, Serena Hotels organize International Conference on the Tourism Potential of Pakistan

Islamabad, November 6, 2024: A prestigious International Conference on the Tourism Potential of Pakistan was held today, organized by Sanober Institute (SI) in partnership with Serena Hotel Islamabad. The conference aimed to delve into Pakistan’s untapped tourism potential and bring together renowned experts from both local and international arenas to create a strategic roadmap for developing tourism into a thriving and lucrative industry.

The conference centered around four pivotal themes: Mountain Tourism, Religious Tourism, Heritage Tourism, and Coastal Tourism. More than twenty experts, academics, and practitioners gathered for thorough discussions to identify challenges and propose practical recommendations for both the public and private sectors. The event drew a significant number of scholars, researchers, students, and think tank community members, fostering a dynamic national dialogue on this crucial topic.

The discussions underscored the vital role of tourism in the global economy and its capacity to enhance Pakistan’s image while fostering socio-economic growth. Addressing the conference, the participants emphasized the importance of tackling connectivity issues, improving hospitality infrastructure, and enhancing visitor services to realize Pakistan’s tourism potential fully.

Sanober Institute expresses hope that this joint effort would offer valuable insights and direction for policymakers and industry leaders to develop actionable strategies.

The policy advice and recommendations generated during the conference will be compiled into a comprehensive report. This report will be widely circulated to benefit the government and other stakeholders in Pakistan’s tourism industry. The ultimate objective is to convert the conference’s insights into practical measures that will position Pakistan as an appealing global tourist destination.

SI extends heartfelt gratitude to all participants, especially the panelists, for their invaluable contributions to the discussions. The conference was deemed a success, and we look forward to future collaborations to further elevate Pakistan’s tourism sector.
